Plastic Projection Welding
Projection welding is usually performed using a special band of near-infrared lasers, which can travel through most colourless polymer materials.The welding process occurs on an overlapping lap structure: a suitable coloring (absorption) layer is superimposed under a transparent thermoplastic layer.The laser beam passes through the first layer of material, and the absorption layer at the junction of the two layers absorbs the laser beam radiation and completes the welding.
